Early life
Owing to his father’s job, Mike Judge was born in Ecuador and grew up in New Mexico, completing his high school education there only.
Unlike many comedians and creators, Mike Judge didn’t have an interest in this field when he was younger as he chose to study physics at the University of California, even working in his selected field for some time.
Entering the world of animation
After working as a programmer, and being immensely dissatisfied with it, Judge went on to become a musician, but this didn’t fit perfectly either.
Eventually, Mike Judge decide to pursue animation and began making short films with one of the first ones being Office Space, which later became a movie which Judge directed with cast members which included Jennifer Aniston.
Around that time, he created another short film called Frog Baseball, which introduced two characters named Beavis and Butt-head. The two characters were two immature teenage males, with no authoritative figures around to tell them how to behave.
These two characters proved to be the turning point he needed.
His show, titled Beavis and Butt-head premiered on MTV and stayed on the network for around 4 years, coming back for a brief spell in 2011, with Judge still hoping that the series could come back again. Later, a film called Beavis and Butt-head Do America was released.
