Early life
Perry was born on September 13, 1969, in New Orleans Louisiana to Willie Maxine Perry and Sr. Emmitt Perry who is a carpenter. Perry bore a miserable childhood as His father used to beat him cruelly. His mother used to take him church every week to save himself from his father’s beating for his son’s sanity and peace of mind.
He changed his name from Emmitt to Taylor at the age of sixteen because he wanted to distance himself from his father.
