He basically did so by founding his company called Terra Energy Ltd. which later became the largest natural gas producing company in the area. His company focused on extracting natural gas from the Antrim shale in Michigan.
His company managed to achieve this feat, something which others had tried but weren’t successful in their endeavors.
Eventually, Marty Lagina sold his natural gas producing company and founded Heritage Sustainable Energy. However, it also aims to help the environment and better the energy crisis as well.
In an interview, Marty Lagina said that though he believes fossil fuels will never run out, he does believe the extraction is becoming increasingly difficult as the years go by.
To find a sustainable solution to this problem, he basically founded this new company which focuses on creating energy through wind turbines.

Marty Lagina, along with his brother Ricky Lagina was quite interested in the Oak Island mystery which basically says that several artifacts such as Shakespeare’s work and Marie Antionette’s jewels are present on the island.
