Early Life

Khabib Nurmagomedov was born on September 20, 1988, in the village called Sildi in the Russian SFSR, the Soviet Union and then he moved to Makhachkala the capital city of Dagestan. He is the second among the three children including an elder brother Magomed and a younger sister Amina.

His father moved to Kirovaul along with his family and there he converted the ground floor to the gym. Nurmagomedov was raised in a household along with his siblings and cousins. He started wrestling at the early age of eight years. His father used to train him who is a veteran of the army and a decorated athlete.

Khabib started his career professionally in 2008 through his first fight in MMA. He earned four victories within a month, although three of them were achieved within a day.
