Kevin Garnett was born in South Carolina on May 19, 1976. He was the second child of his mother, who never married his father. After the birth of Kevin, his mother and father got separated. While he was attending his school, Kevin fell in love with basketball.

In the 1997 NBA Playoffs, Garnett made his first playoff appearance while playing for Timberland franchise. However, his team lost to Houston Rockets.
