Jeffery Bruce Atkins popularly known by his stage name Ja Rule is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and actor. Atkins has started his career in 1999 with the album Venni Vetti Vecci and it’s most famous single Holla Holla.

Early life
Ja Rule was born on February 29, 1976, in Hollis, Queens, the borough of NewYork city. His father, William Atkins was a baker by profession. He left him and his family at a very young age. Atkins was the only child of the family who spent a miserable childhood and faced too many hardships. His mother Debra couldn’t spend time with him as he was working as a health care worker and Ja rule used to live with his grandparents. Because of poor attention, He started selling drugs in Hollis.
He went to Public School 134 in Hollis. He had many fights in school because his classmates used to laugh at him for his small body structure. He was then transferred to middle school 72 in Glen Oaks which was described white school by him.
He did not graduate but finally earned the GED degree in 2012.

Ja Rule married Aisha Murray in 2001 and has three children named Britney Asja Atkins, Jeffrey Jr. and Jordan. He was raised as Jehovah’s Witness in his childhood, but change his religion and became Christian is 2013 when he was promoting his film I’m In Love With A Church Girl.

Atkins remained in controversies because of some of his weird acts. Once he was sued and fined $1200 for punching a man in Toronto.
