Sheyaa bin Abraham-Jospeh is popularly known by his stage name 21 Savage is a famous songwriter, rapper, and record producer. This Atlanta based rapper is recognized among its followers for the mixtape The Slaughter Tape released in 2015. He got international recognition through Savage Mode an EP collaboration and his famous singles No Heart and “X”.

His first album Issa Album released in 2017 ranked at number two on Billboard 200. This also gave him another 100 top 20 songs Bank Account. His first single was released in 2017 and hit all the Billboard charts with nominations at 61st Grammy Awards.

Early life

21 Savage was born on October 22, 1992, in Plaistow London, England to heather Carmilla Joseph and Kevin Cornelious Emmons. He has ten siblings including the twin choreographer sisters Kyra and Jyda Davis who work for The West Minister City Council. He lost one of his brothers due to a wrong drug deal. His parents separated when he was just seven, and he decided to move with his mother.

He was banned from schools in Dekalb County School district for keeping guns and arms. Due to this, he admitted to schools around the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. He faced multiple odd situations and exclusions during his studies, therefore, he completed his eighth grade through a substitutive program. However, dropped out of high school during a freshman year and joined a street gang.

This bad company made him a full-time drug dealer, who used to deal with the trade of cannabis. His full-time interest in drug dealing and robbing and car theft made him the most wanted criminal. 21 savage and some of the members of his gang attempted a robbery on his 21st birthday when he was shot 6 times by the opposing rivalries and almost died to multiple shots. He also lost his best friend on that bad day.

21 Savage belongs to a deprived, struggling and criminal background. He started dating model amber rose in 2017 and just after a year, the couple had separated.

He used to practice and follow his mother’s religion that is the traditional African religion.

In 2016, 21 Savage released extended play with Metro Boomin an Atlanta based record producer called Savage Mode. This EP got worldwide attention and ranked at number 23 on the billboard 200. He was named as one of the freshman class the same year because of his outstanding achievements in very little time. His single on the EP named future gone platinum in the US.

In 2017 he released the first studio album Issa Album that peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. However, its leading single in the album named Bank Account ranked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. The same year he signed Epic Records. Later he was also featured in Rockstar a single by post Malone, which broke many records and ranked at number one on Billboard charts.

In late 2017, his collaborative album without warning was released with a metro Boomin. It’s lead single Ric Flair Dip broke the records and ranked at number 13.

In 2018, the famous rapper released his second studio album called I am>I was. This album ranked number one at the U.S. Billboard Charts and became U.S. top-ranked album.
