An American woman, named Schneider is a real survivor of the coronavirus. She wanted to share her motivational story to encourage and support the infected ones that this is not the end.
She belongs to Seattle which is the biggest city of Washington, which is dealing with a larger number of people with the virus and most death and the disease is slowly sweeping to the globe.
A 37-year-old woman with a Ph.D. degree in bio-engineering wanted to share her story to motivate others and give new hope to the warriors.
How she got the infection?
She got a mild infection in the throat and flu-like symptoms on February 25, 2020, three days after going to the party where there were already 5 Covid -19 infected patients joined. She left to work with very mild symptoms as she said that she felt normal tiredness but it was like a regular day.
By midday, she started feeling symptoms getting worse. After experiencing some breathing problems and headaches getting worse along with fever and body aches she left the office which is a biotechnology company and she was working there as a marketing manager.
The same day after taking a nap she found that she is having a high fever with 103°fahernhite temperature. Soon she started getting chills and tingling in her extremities. She said that “the shivers were uncontrollable”. But still, she was unaware of the deadly virus. She started the flu medications and called a friend to be by her side in case of any emergency.
Meanwhile, she was listening to all the news about the novel coronavirus. The first patient of the virus in the U.S was diagnosed in Washington in late January. However, the fever started to reside in the coming days and that’s when she thought that it is a mild flu and didn’t go to see a doctor.
After the hype created she also went to have a test and got it covid-19 positive. She was surprised because her symptoms were subsiding.
How the contagious virus affected people around her?
Soon, the state has gone on to reach another level by becoming the epicenter of the country along with two dozen deaths and 260 cases. However, the countrywide rate increased up to 1100 infected cases and 30 deaths.
What measures she had taken?
She got herself tested which resulted in Covid-19 positive.
She self-treated her by being quarantined herself in the home and not letting any of her family member approach in her room without any valid reason.
Within a week she felt much better but still, she avoided larger gatherings and continued working from home.
What’s her concern now?
However, Schneider said that there is not something completely nonchalant about the speed rate of this virus. She had shown her concern for the children and the elderly or people who have underlying health conditions.
What is her message?
Her message is very clear and simple. She wanted an entire world to be extra vigilant about isolating themselves, staying at home and take care of themselves and others too.
Don’t panic; get a lot of rest, drink lots of water, if you have it you should get it tested probably.
